Roundup: Freelance Isn't Free

Freelancers and independent contractors currently make up 35% of the U.S. workforce and over a majority of them have issues with either getting paid late or not at all.  New York City just became the first city in the U.S. to pass a law to protect freelancers and independent contractors from getting stiffed.   Below is a roundup of what the new law is about, including what it covers and the protections it provides.
